The Arduino distance sensor typically utilizes ultrasonic technology to measure the distance between the user and an obstacle. The principle of operation involves emitting ultrasonic waves and measuring the time it takes for the wave to bounce back from the obstacle and return to the sensor. By calculating the time of travel, the sensor can determine the distance. This information is valuable for applications such as robotics, autonomous vehicles, obstacle avoidance systems, and more.
